Description:
This powerful painting is of the U. S. Coast Guard Cutter Ingham as she appeared in the l960's while on patrol in the stormy Bearing Sea. These sturdy 327' Secretary Class Cutters were operated by the Coast Guard from the late l930's until the late l980's. They saw action in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. During peace time, these ships carried out search and rescue missions, drug interdiction, and enforced fisheries and safety regulations.
