Urban Design Series- Urban Statistics
This is one of a series of works that I made on urban life. I mostly drew from what I had seen in New York City. Here I visually represent society's tendency to confine varying aspects of city life (whether positive or negative) within statistics.
This work is a visual attempt to humanize the subject of urban statistical speculation. Notice how the people looked perplexed at the line graph on the brick wall ( the brick wall symbolizing the urban), and are viewed as shadows because they are in danger of losing who they are to the dehumanizing identity of categories and numbers.
