My husband also helped build this one! He worked on almost every aircraft carrier since the Kennedy, which was in the yard for overhaul when we first married! He would have really loved your site! Beautiful, meticulous work....you truly have a very special gift :) V/P!!!! ☺♥

Thought it was a photograph at first. Wow!

James Williamson replied:

Chuck: thank you for your positive comments. Paintings like htese 'put me to the test' - it was created for a tug company. Ended up looking excellent. Thanks again. Jim

Okay, I don't even like pictures of ships and boats but this is a beautiful composition, the texture you've created on the hull of the ship, the fine, fine line and detail work everywhere, highlights on the gulls and omg...all the sailors, the lettering, the everything! f/v/fb/p

James Williamson replied:

Thank you for your positive comments: I have a 'love -hate' attitude towards 'war ships' - but I figure "this is where we are and I'm painting what is". Ended up looking good even for an aircraft carrier. My goal was to make it a bit 'scary'oking and big. Jim

Wow, what a great painting! Amazing detail oriented, outstanding!!!

James Williamson replied:

Thanks for your positive commet. I'm finally getting to a reply. I feel the painting gives the vessel the 'power' look. A machine of scary power so to speak.

Magnificent piece of artwork James.
