Description:

An arctic wolf perches on a rock, intently watching the caribou herd in the tundra valley below, awaiting the arrival of his pack so they can begin the hunt.

I absolutely love this painting, and consider it my best work to date. This was my first -real- attempt at a painting (instead of my usual watercolor and colored pencil technique) and it turned out better than I could have ever hoped! Someday I hope to do more paintings this well, and even better as my skill increases.
