Thank you so much, Chas!

Kylie, thanks for adding this painting to your favorites!

Wow, very nice! Love the discription!

Marlene Burns replied:

thank you, cassie!

this was a special commission!

Powerful and very lovely. f

I like the fact that you have found expression of religious themes through abstraction. Although I don't fully understand the expression, I can certainly appreciate it.

Marlene Burns replied:

thank you, david, just read the description. ;)

thanks for favoriting this painting, janeen!

Beautiful work, Marlene. The word 'va-yi-kar' (with no alef) is found in Parshat Balak when HaShem speaks to Bilaam. It has the sense of 'it happened' but it wasn't deserved. As you point out, Moshe was too humble to receive any more stature than Bilaam. Your image is a wonderful representation of this Midrash!

Marlene Burns replied:

thank you for your insight, michael. i am being commissioned to do all of the books this year...can hardly wait!

God's given you a wonderful gift, Marlene. Thank you for sharing it.

Marlene Burns replied:

thank you, dale, for your kind comment. it has taken 40 years to merge to two passions, but well worth the wait. all in its own good time....

thank you roger and terrie for making this a favorite!

colin, thank you for making this painting a favorite!

thank you, sean...it went to a very special client!

Marlene.... this is a masterpiece... it's all I can say because it is so beautifully rendered. Sean.

todah rabbah for your kind words, my chaver

I love this painting and the next one, Halleluyah. Your wonderful descriptions of the meaning and significance of each of your Judaica series show the depth of your knowledge and are works of art of their own. Y' asher kochayich!

thank you so much, pauline for your thoughtful input, as always....

Fanatastic Marlene! Love the flow and connectivity. The description is SO very helpful.

daughter dear, thank you! the flow is so important to the meaning of the piece...god's words flowing from the source to torah and then to man....

thank you, peter...without the explanation of this series, it's just colors and shapes... pretty maybe, but of no substance....

Very nice color choices and forms. Thank you for the description also, it greatly helped in understanding the symbolism.a comment...

natalie, thank you so much for your constant support of my work!
