Painting - Watercolor On 140 Lbs Cold Pressed Paper
This is the first of an ongoing series named "Our Solar System". The title of this image is given tongue in cheek as a playful use of words describing a Freudian Slip- or slip of the tongue.
It fits here in that the phrase from which it derives this level of humor is of a sexual nature and Venus is the hottest solid planet so often assoiciated with love. To complete this little take on a common phrase Venus is followed by two letters meant to be read aloud each singly.
The sheer delight of this painting for me was the magical way in which Venus seems to be out there floating in space. Inside a space of a clustering of stars where one can make out the shape of the letter V.
