Description
This view of the Pirate Cove Ferris Wheel - Ocean City, NJ has some interesting lines and geometric shapes brought out better in this print by processing it in B&W.
Ocean City is in Cape May County, New Jersey. It is known as a family-oriented seaside resort, and has prohibited the sale of alcoholic beverages within its limits since its founding in 1879. There are over 8 miles of of guarded beaches, a boardwalk that stretches for 2.5 miles and a quaint downtown shopping and dining district.
The original Ferris Wheel was designed and constructed by George Washington Gale Ferris, Jr. as a landmark for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. The term Ferris wheel is used generically for all such structures, which are now the most common type of carnival ride at state fairs in the US.
The current record holder is the 167.6-metre (550ft) High Roller in the United States, which opened to the public in March 2014
