Xueling, I should add that I flew on Concorde once, and some of that once-common glamour (if that's the right word) of air travel was still there. But just barely.

Thank you, Xueling! Truth be told I juggled these for quite some time. I knew I wanted TWA prominently shown, at least. As my caption mentions and I am sure you know, airlines travel once really was something special. I have a photo of passengers waiting to board a Pan Am Clipper (the famous "flying boat") in Manila, in 1939. The men are in suits and hats, the women nicely garbed, some wearing white gloves. Sigh...
