Waiting In Dharamsala For The Dalai Lama
Photograph - Digital Photography
A Tibetan woman waits in the streets of Dharamsala, India for a chance to see the Dalai Lama as he returns to his home-in-exile. I happened upon the gathering during my stay in India where I taught young adult Tibetan refugees. It was a festive gathering of people who patiently waited for about an hour. I didn't have my camera when I came upon the gathering. I wanted to chronicle the event, but didn't want to miss the Dalai Lama's return. After debating back and forth, I ran uphill to my room, grabbed my camera, and made it back in time to see the arrival of the Dalai Lama.
