Description:
This is the second in a new series I'm beginning inspired by quilts. In an attempt to find an edgy approach to traditional portraiture, I want my figures to emerge from their settings using the push and pull of visual planes.
The pastel and muddy colors are an effort to calm the chaos of a highly intricate and large work.
Purple paintings sell the least, so I couldn\'t help myself.
