Description:
I don't conceive a landscape without being inhabited by human beings. In all places where I have inhabited I have found human overpopulation.
My style-thematic are a mix of the real with the unreal, the social with the political, the historical with the folkloric, that past with the present, etc.. In deduction of these (with all my respect to those artist who are devoted to this type of landscape), to paint a landscape without people, I find it, no only in somehow empty, but rather, in most of the cases, it is lent to be acquired "mainly" as an decor object, and no by its "communicative" valor in the "art territory".
THIS PAINTING: "Walk is Other People's Land", related to the walking a person do without the intention of LOOKING FOR ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES. It is the one that a person do looking for peace and spiritual quality, physics, emotional. It is the "walking in other people's land" that inspire the painting above. A self-portrait of a age men, to the rhythm his cane and accompanied by Omaira (my wife), that goes already marking with her long white hair the road journey, in search of a place to rest.
