Sotiris, Thanks! It is one of my favorite images from my Smokies trips. Look for small stream there and try this yourself!

Maitland, FL - United States

Roy, Thanks! Yes, I like this one even better! When I was capturing this image, I nearly fell into the other shot from this little site, which is the leaves in the whirlpool image!

Lake City, FL - United States

This one in color is even better.

Maitland, FL - United States

Dirk, Thank you! And you have some wonderful images on your site! V

Overpelt, Li - Belgium

Wonderful capture! v

Maitland, FL - United States

Charles, I believe it was on the North Carolina side, the Tenn. side was a lot browner, but I doubt I could find this spot again!

Ozark, Al - United States

Beautiful image. I know it was taken in the Smokies, but where abouts? On the North Carolina side or the Tennessee side? VF

Maitland, FL - United States

Spring in the Smokies is a great time too, maybe even better than Fall, less RV's and tourists!!!

Widefield, CO - United States

Beautiful!!! A place I would love to be at right now and gazing at this awesome view

Maitland, FL - United States

Raymond, thanks and I agree. I converted it to the B&W, for a client and then they bought the color one!

Seymour, CT - United States

I'm a black and white fan, but here I think the color looks best...( my opinion). Both are awesome.

Maitland, FL - United States

Lawrence, thanks and serendipity played a large role in this capture,Rich

Sapulpa, OK - United States

Beautiful work!!

Maitland, FL - United States

Thanks Scott, it was a perfect little waterfall. A few days earlier and the water would have been cloudy from rain and a few days later, less water coming over the spillway!

Seabrook, SC - United States

You get a vote here! I love the contrast and the color in this image. Thanks for your help in my thread. It put me on the first page. :)

Maitland, FL - United States

Thanks Seth! I'm working on uploading more. I think I spent too much time on my flowers and stuff and now back to Lanscapes, etc. Rich

Bothell, WA - United States

Loved that one too .... fantastic galleries by the way ... really beautiful

Maitland, FL - United States

Seth, thanks! It was a pretty little waterfall, but I'll post the image that I almost stepped in, while I was concentrating on this image. Look for "Smoky Mountain Whirlpool", Rich

Bothell, WA - United States

Ummmmm .... wow .... speechless, choking up ... and awestruck ... F/V!

Littleton, CO - United States

Timing is everything when it comes to photography....congratulations on being able to capture the moment. I love that each photo is a time capsule of a moment that will never come again.

Maitland, FL - United States

Angelina, thanks! A few days before or a few days later and this wouldn't have been possible. A few days earlier, it had rained and the water would have been muddy and a few days later, the stream was starting to dry up a bit and the flow wouldn't have been this strong. Serendippity!, a photographer's best friend!!! Rich

Littleton, CO - United States

Wow, that looks surreal. Beautiful shot.
