Painting - O/c
Waterloo is a place in Michigan where I used to take my dog walking. The oil painting is a scene I made up but has the look of the waterloo area. There is a large oak tree just barely peeking into the scene from the left foreground. The rest of the foreground is a wide reflecting stream coming from a distant pond that can be seen through the distant trees. On the right shore of the stream are three cows drinking from the shallows. The cows are standing in the water up to their knees to cool off. The cows are red and white to contrast with the green, yellow, yellow ocher and burnt sienna field grass. The trees give way to a distant shore and a hill coming up out of the pond. Above is a blue and white mid summers day sky. My childhood days were spent going to my Grandpas back eighty to fetch the cows for milking time. Sitting under that oak tree and casting out a fishing line would be a good thing. Maybe thats the next painting.
