Relief - Acrylic On Paper With Foam Core Construction
My work is meticulously made with care put into every step. It may be hard to see in a photo, but my work is low relief and is encapsulated in a shadowbox frame. I use foamcore to give the 3-D effect. The image is drawn out on paper, then cut apart. These pieces are then painted using Acrylic, shot though an Airbrush. Next I take these pieces and use them as a template to cut out the foamcore. The foamcore is cut multiple times, depending on the depth I want to achieve. All the foamcore is then glued together. All the paper is then placed on top of the foamcore and glued. It's like putting together a giant jig-saw puzzle without a picture!
