Thanks Dawn. I think you are right. They have a lot of individual personality and they seem to actually DEEPLY care for each other. A short story is the other photo of "dancing with joy", I watched one of them come from almost 100 yards away in a beeline for the other and they actually stood up and hugged and then grabbed each other's paws and began barking and dancing in the circle. I was so taken by it all that I forgot to take pictures until the end - it nearly brought one to tears, as if they were long lost friends.

I grew up knowing our wild Wyoming ground squirrels and prairie dogs personally, so I deeply appreciate this image which conveys the thinking, feeling individual soul within each of these little beings which many people regard as nothing but "pests." Spectacular and very appealing photograph!
