Description:

Koi swimming under the magnolia tree was inspired by this scene. I was teaching my class at Franklin Park Conservatory. Water is a difficult subject for the artist. There are so many ways to describe it and I thought this turned out to be just wonderful.
Tips on Framing: a large 5" mat white -a inner liner .25 inch wide
You would be wise to find a motif that ripples like the water and bring out the color of the water.
