Who Said He Could Listen
FAA WATERCOLOR MARK DOES NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
While on the beach in Oyster Bay, New York located on the north shore of Long Island. I spotted these two young girls having a conversation down at the edge of the beach, when all of a sudden a swan floated past the two girls and stopped and seemed to be trying to listen in on their conversation. What was amazing is that the swan seeing me trying to get closer after talking and receiving permission from the two girl's mother to take their photograph continued to sit their as if he did not want to miss anything that was being said. Another North Shore beach can be found in the harbor of Oyster Bay. You can work on your tan on this pebbly beach, enjoy a swim, or go to the Waterfront Center, which features summer sailing programs, sailboat and kayak rentals and children's programs.
Make sure you take a look at the Nantucket Lightship, docked at the Jakobson Pier. This historic vessel once served at the Nantucket Shoals Station in Massachusetts, sending out beams of light far and wide to guide ships in the surrounding waters.
After you've had a great day at the beach, stroll through the lovely little town of Oyster Bay, famed as the former home of Theodore Roosevelt, the only U.S. president from Long Island.
