Description
Spring wildflowers (Delphinium?) in Cow Meadow at the centre of Yosemite Valley National Park with Half Dome in the background.
It was only after coming back from crouching down with tripod shortened in the rough grass to get this shot that a fellow hiker pointed out where he had seen a snake in the same grass.....sometimes it is better not to know than to be told too late.

Delphinium & Larkspur are of the same family. Lupine is in the legume family. I think you saw lupine. Glad you avoided the snake in any case! Lovely shot!

Love this. Matt Hammerstein said it first here...a much less common view...and you did a great job. Love how you kept the depth of field limited and the background slightly out of focus.
