An amazing shot Ken. Puts me in mind of taking my Mom to the top of Going to the Sun Highway in Montana two weeks before she passed away. A whole bunch of mountain goats were about 20 feet from us as we walked toward the visitor center. She stopped, her mouth wide open. "Oh my gosh! I've wanted to see one of those close up all my life!" One of the best last memories. Thanks for the memory! :)

I totally love mountain goats. I'll never forget when my mom first saw one. She had wanted to see one in the wild all her life. We drove her up the Going to the Sun Highway in Glacier Park in Montana, parked and walked up toward the visitor center. A herd of goats stood on the hillside of the the right of the visitor center. She stopped dead in her tracks and tears came to her eyes. She was beside herself. She passed away suddenly two weeks later. God had given her the desire of her heart before she died. When I saw your work it stopped me, then I balked because of the title. Windy Ridge. I didn't know I had a ridge. WHERE is it? Or is it real? Thanks Ken. Windy

This is very good. As a person who has just been to a private art school, one thing that was hammered in over and over and over was USE MORE CONTRAST. Don't be scared. Use more BLACKS to bring out the rest of the picture. Now, looking at this picture I can really see what they mean. If you use just a bit more darker palette with, for example, one side of the goat, it will tremendously enhance the whites on the other side. Just a little critique. Fantastic job mate, keep it up!
