Description
I hate winter. Really. Driving home from Tappahannock one day I was mumbling to myself, 'there has to be SOMETHING good about winter'. Around the first bend of Occupacia Road is this farm; the long fence of harsh barbed wire was decorated with 5' high weeds and all in seed. It was so beautiful the way the sunlight shone through the tall feathery plants...it was if God was saying, "Here's something good".
Rich, warm colors add to the chilly feel in the air, highlighted by the sunlight shining through the tall and wispy plumes.

I've just enjoyed looking at your art Jennifer...very original....also liked your delightful warm hearted biography. Including the description for this. It is an uncomplicated painting...its simplicity is what works...it is like a breath of fresh air...I love it. Vicki.
