Julie I just love what you do with these old homes. They will be gone soon but thanks to and your gorgeous photos they will be preserved forever.......Dave

Julie Dant replied:

Hey Dave! Thank you for that! Many people can not understand the attraction I have for them. I see you do, and am grateful. I appreciate your very kind compliment my friend! ;)

I am glad it did! You will take another shot next winter to compare, Julie!

Julie Dant replied:

Thanks, Vlad! If I can find it again! lol

Love! Beautiful Shot!

Julie Dant replied:

Thanks Tammy, happy you like it. I LOVE old abandoned 2 story houses!

Very nice. Saw a remark about photos looking like painted art, and mention I have several like that,so will look to see if you have some too!

Julie Dant replied:

David, thanks again, for your comment! Yes..if I can make any of my scenes or portraits, too, look painted, then I'm very happy with it. ;) It's always nice to meet another photographer who appreciates the look, also. ;)

What a nice fixer upper, Julie. Great shot. Liked.

Julie Dant replied:

Hey Jeff! Thanks bud! I'm going to check out yours now...I KNOW I'll find a gazillion that I love...always do!!! ;)

What a fabulous building, very well shot. I just love finding and shooting in these locations :)

Julie Dant replied:

Thanks too!! ;)

Very lovely photo Julie!!! LF

Julie Dant replied:

Thanks so much, Marvin. You love color too, I've seen! ;)

Excellent photo Julie, this house had to be alive and well at some time ago...

Julie Dant replied:

Raymond, thanks so much for commenting! I always think of these old relics in their heyday, also. How beautiful it must have been when newly built and what wonderful and happy family times must have occurred within their walls . I've never once went into an old abandoned home and felt any negative energies or emotions...only a slight sense of melancholy for what once was. ;0)

Excellent picture!

Julie Dant replied:

Hey Stephen, thank you for your comment. I'm happy you enjoyed this one! ;0)

What a great find, I just love these old places. Very nicely shot.

Julie Dant replied:

I do too, David! Thank you for your comments and for checking out my work! ;0)

Now THIS is my kind of photo... old buildings, sky, my favorites! Voted and Faved. And now that you got my attention, I'm watching you.

Julie Dant replied:

lol, Guy! too! That is what got me started into obsession with finding and preserving any old abandoned house with my little instamatic camera! ha! That obsession has never left me after almost 20 years...I can't drive by one, without stopping and going around or in to poke around and depressing that shutter button the whole time! Lots of us around. ;0) Thanks so much for the V/F/ and for the watch!

Nice shot! I'd be crawling all through that place and seeing what was there to shoot. Old places like this catch my attention, and make me wonder, who lived there, and what happened to them?

Julie Dant replied:

Yep. I do the same thing, Dan! When I got the "abandoned house" kept telling my husband, "There HAS to be others out there who love to look at these old places!" And I discovered I was right, once I began posting them online. ;0) Thanks so much for your comments, Dan! ;0)

Great image Julie. really love this. Have always been intrigued by what used to be... Very nice. V

Julie Dant replied:

Ah, me too, Robert! If we ever find out there's another dimension..I hope we can go take peeks..and come right back! lol THANKS! ;0)

Julie Dant replied:

Really beautiful! You can just imagine the life that wt on in those walls!!

Julie Dant replied:

I love searching for, and finding old abandoned houses like this one and I think the same thing about every one! Thanks Terry, for your comment! ;0)

Back in the day this house was a magnificent mansion.....a beehive of activity drawing neighbors from miles around to fill their buggies with family. Trying desperately not to tire the horse or worse be late for the grand celebration.....the much anticipated annual Fourth of July picnic. Wonderful work Julie! v/fav

Julie Dant replied:

WONDERFUL usual...Stuart, to add another dimension to my photo! I am always so honored and pleased to read one of your comments. Do you write short stories or have you published any of your writings? You should. ;0) ;0) THanks buddy!

Fine texture and light Julie. Those old buildings you find have a great charisma. Thanks for your visit at my work.

Julie Dant replied:

Ahh..I love them, Leif. They compel me to search them out. ;0) I appreciate your kind words on this one, and you are so very have sooo many that I love! ;0)
