Description:

The Wood Duck or Carolina Duck is one of the few that nest in trees. Distinctive colour, red eyes and wild hairdo crest. After hatching, ducklings first step into the world is a long one. Often dropping 200 feet from the nest, without injury, to join their mother, waddle to the water and begin swimming.
