Description
This old style lathe used a treadle base and a spinner, operating a bit like an old sewing machine. This foot pedal was attached to bar over head that bounced up and down. This movement was then transferred to the thing they were turning. The unit wouldn't spin, it would go backwards and forwards. Beyond that this machine hasn't changed all that much.
