Wyatt Earp 1923 - Los Angeles
Portrait of Wyatt Earp at age 75 in Los Angeles, California five years before his death. His passing would close the chapter on America's wild west of Lawmen and Outlaws.
He was one of the most prolific, toughest, and deadliest gunfighters of his era, with the Gunfight at the OK Corral as his signature event in history. At one time he was a buffalo hunter, Lawman, gambler, saloon keeper, miner, and even a barber.
Those who knew him said he was quite generous, a man of few words, and a good friend.
He stared death in the face with not a hint of fear in his demeanor. Bat Masterson, the famous Lawman said of Earp: ... Wyatt Earp was one of the few men I personally knew in the west in the early days whom I regarded as absolutely destitute of physical fear.
"Fast is fine, but accuracy is final." - Wyatt Earp
"Are you going to do something or just stand there and bleed?" - Wyatt Earp
