Wow.....such a luscious image.....suspended on the eyes of the beholder....Such a warmth of colour blending the rose petal with the feather. I find it fascinating. Rosa

This is a style I've been working on for three years. This summer I discovered the third element of the water drops. This feather was a rare gift. I found a deceased hummingbird outside the window of my house, and before giving it a burial (and saying I'm sorry many times) I took a few of its tail feathers. The whole feather is only about an inch long and very narrow. In order to get these shots with feathers I have to hold the feather in my left hand and try to focus with the camera and macro lens in my right hand. After doing it for several hours I can barely move my arms!
