Zion National Park Sunset Rockville Utah And Storm Clouds Over The Watchman
Photograph - Prints Or Digital Files
Late afternoon glow of a dramatic sunset on Zion National Park peaks from Bridge Mountain to The Watchman Peak as viewed from my back porch along Grafton Road in Rockville Utah looking east with dark storm clouds clearing and highlights of the sunset peeking through holes in the clouds. The story of this image is typical of many great photographic shots--"being there"-- and having your camera ready! It was a very cold winter day with lot's of wind (notice the clouds) but I happened to look out the window and noticed a "glow" of orange! The sun was about to set behind us in the west when it found a hole in the clouds and it shone through like a spotlight highlighting the peaks within Zion National Park for about 30 seconds. I rushed off some shots and bracketed as rapidly as possible and got two good ones.... I guess the moral of the story is "be ready"!!
