This is a group created to discuss taboo subjects such as religion and politics. But let's try to keep the discussions at least grounded in art.

Art plays a role in taboo subjects. It drives art at times.

This group is to discuss the motivation behind the art. The meaning behind what the artist is trying to say.

There is no doubt that if you join this group you will run across people that do not share in whatever beliefs you may hold. There may be people that have a view opposite of yours. There may be people who are passionate about what they believe and will defend it.

Just remember, this group is not going to settle any debate. There is rarely going to be anything accomplished. Very few, if any, issues will be solved.

If you like to debate and have the ability to hear things you may not like or agree with..please join. If not, you may want to seek out another group more in tune with your feelings.

ALL images should be posted in the discussion area of this group. Images posted to the group itself will never see the light of day. This is not a group to dump every image you have, pictures should fit the purpose of the group.

This group holds a contest once a month for images that represent the theme of the group. We will pick ONE winner that will be featured in the group and it will be discussed in the group.

Now saying all this, there is no reason we can't all discuss these things in a civil way. Probably the only way to get kicked out of this group will be personal attacks against other members. If you can't debate without resorting to name calling please don't even bother joining this group.
