I am really fascinated by the magnificent display of color and texture of dahlias in full bloom. Dahlias usually display most hues, with the exception of blue, and with their leafy long stems, they range from 2' to up to 6-8 feet.
It is believed that dahlias originate from Mexico ( the dahlia is the national flower of Mexico), and they are related to sunflowers, daisies, chrysanthemums and zinnias.
A dahlia garden is a nature display not to be missed! In the Northeastern part of the United States, dahlias usually bloom from mid-July to Sept.
If you wish to share photos of your artwork of this beautiful flower with FAA members and others, please submit not more than two (2) images a day.
Thank you for joining and enjoy being part of The World of Dahlias!
