Yamilette Rodriguez - Artist
The ideal candidate is one that is not afraid to lead a group of beginners to recreate acrylic paintings on canvas within a time-frame of 2 to 2 1/2 hours. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate clear instructions; a step-by-step process so that participants are able to follow and complete a work of art which they are proud of at the end of the session to hang on their walls.
The ambiance we are wanting to create is a social, interactive studio; where creativity is encouraged while attendees sip wine, enjoy snacks and have the opportunity to socialize while painting. Our studio is NOT meant to be a "lecturing" type setting. We are gearing our concept to "art as entertainment"...Fun art, not serious art!
Our studio will be geared to adults that enjoy the night-life scene, trend-setters & girls night out seekers. We will also offer kids painting parties, family day, bachelorette parties, mimosa mornings & afternoons events, fundraisers as well as team-building events.
We encourage recent graduates, self-taught artist, or college students to apply; as well as art teachers looking for extra income.
We will hire "on-contract" artists, which must be available to teach & guide a fun group of people during the late afternoons, until night; as well as weekends when necessary. We are also seeking a LEAD ARTIST as well, which will compensated for teaching classes, and will also earn extra bonuses for assisting in developing the studio. Our "lead artist" should be available not only to teach classes, but to assist in the overall operations of opening and closing the studio with the assistance of the "event coordinator".
We have compiled fun, easy paintings that will need to be recreated for our studio walls. Candidates will be ask to choose two paintings from our library to recreate with acryclic on canvas as part of the hiring process, if you are considered to become part of our team.
Once artists are hired, you will need to sign a "non-compete" clause and a one year contract; and be committed to develop several of our paintings before we open to the public. Our artist will be featured on our website, as artist, assistant artist or "lead artist". We will also welcome any painting of your own to our studio.
Note: The ideal candidates must live within a short distance of our studio premises(currently seeking retail space in Bedford & Irving, TX), and have transportation available to arrive at least 30-35 mins before teaching. This is non-negotible, unless your are willing to relocate at your expense.
If you are friendly, fun, feel comfortable in a social-setting in leading 30 to 35 people you might be the ideal candidate.
If you are responsible, trust-worthy, a no-excuse individual, you might be the ideal candidate.
If you are creative, energetic & want to create art while making extra income, you might be the ideal candidate.
So, are you ready to JOIN our team?
