Artist Suzanne Surber Stays On Top Art List For Over 3 Weeks

Artist Suzanne Surber Stays On Top Art List For Over 3 Weeks

Suzanne Surber's artpiece 'Sacred Geometry' was listed in Artists2artists 'Today's Top Art Views' on June 5, 2016. Today it still remains on this list.

Suzanne also received the following curatorial review by Kristen T. Woodward (Resident Curator for Artists2artists.com) for this same piece:

"Sacred Geometry is an unusual and remarkable piece in your series of stylized landscapes. More economic in its primary compositional shapes than many of the other paintings, it counters the simplicity in basic compartmentalization in the elaborate configurations within the achromatic ground. The swath of high chroma blue moving diagonally through the space reads as water, but there’s some ambiguity in what appear to be the surrounding banks. The contrast between the linear depiction of these shapes and the more painterly water creates visual interest...

Before time, Zebras were special creatures of the Gods, born of royalty, and taken oath to be keepers of the universe. When the worlds collided a number of milleniums ago and Earth was formed, these loyal creatures lost their ability to fly and were at once released from their oath. Today, if you were able to pierce into their dreams, you would be able to see their true colors as they were when the Gods ruled the day and Zebras were proud regal members of this forgotten time. -W

Zebras are several species of African equids (horse family) united by their distinctive black and white striped coats. Their stripes come in different patterns, unique to each individual. They are generally social animals that live in small harems to large herds. Unlike their closest relatives, horses and donkeys, zebras have never been truly domesticated....
