Art without Emotion is not Art
One of the engines that drive’s me is the freedom to express myself and communicate.
“Art at its best is creative, expressionist and emotional. The process is liberating when you can feel the transfer of energy as it is released, clearing the mind and allowing you to focus on what is really important in life”.
As a youngster, her home was only where you parked your shoes. Traveling Europe extensively, art was the one item that did not have to be left behind, because it wouldn’t fit into a suitcase. Her mind is a palette, full of color and memories, and she paints in styles of impressionism, contemporary and abstract art. Her signature is bold, colorful and versatile, utilizing watercolor, acrylic and mixed mediums.
Cheryl is an award winning and published artist who also is the Art Director and founder of The Stardust Arts, a youth art program that develops creativity and imagination in youth. Stardust is recognized by the California State Assembly, and the San Diego Board of supervisors and is a joint ventured, non-profit organization.
Her passion is to share, educate and bring the awareness and importance of art in everyone’s lives. “If you can reach out to a community, and allow the dynamics of art, talent and the people to unite, it can be a very powerful force that stretches beyond boundaries and can move mountains”.
