Two From Gambill Collection Selected For Best Of West Virginia

William Gambill Chosen to Show his art in “The Best of West Virginia Juried Exhibition”

BECKLEY, WV – May 7, 2014 – Saint Albans Artist William Gambill announced today that two of his oil-on-canvas paintings were chosen for “The Best of West Virginia” art exhibition at the David L. Dickirson Fine Arts Gallery at Tamarack in Beckley, WV. William Gambill is a West Virginia artist who is known for his dynamic and colorfully whimsical oil paintings. Tamarack’s David L. Dickirson Fine Arts Gallery has selected Gambill’s work to adorn its walls from June 15 to August 3, 2014. A Reception will be held Sunday, June 15th at 3PM. Awards will be announced at that time. Two of William Gambill’s oil paintings were chosen by Tamarack’s David L. Dickirson Fine Arts Gallery. There were many artists who entered works in this event. The winning artist will be awarded Best-in-Show and cash prize. Merit Awards will be distributed as well. The dates for this show are June 15, 2014 through August 3, 2014.

William Gambill lives and creates art in his home in Saint Albans and has been an artist there for more than 15 years. Regarding this art show Gambill stated “I am very pleased and gratified to be chosen by Tamarack’s David L. Dickirson Gallery for The Best of West Virginia Juried Exhibition. It is nice to be recognized regionally at such a prestigious location and also because it represents the Great State of West Virginia,where I was raised, I live and I work.”

Tamarack’s David L. Dickirson Fine ArtsGallery represents over 500 juried West Virginia artists. Exhibitions rotate every six to eight weeks showcasing the best of West Virginia fine art.
