Emumagi hill is the highest point in northern Estonia. Many wooden statues built by an Estonian artist are situated on the hill, the Cross Gate is one of my favorites.

I have always had an interest and fascination with painting but did not begin to think about acting on this interest until I was living in Germany for several years. While in Germany I had the opportunity to travel around Europe and experience the history, and culture of different countries and to visit many amazing art museums. I found myself thinking about how artists have captured the beautiful architecture, countryside, mountains, quaint villages and farmsteads throughout history and so my inspiration began.
