The sky is painted with soft pastel wild light. That is pretty. But what is so fascinating about this photo is the glow coming from the beach and a strip of surf out to sea. I have no idea how you did this and I like the mystery.

Thank you, Chris! I had never been to thos area before this time. The sun was setting as I arrived (I arrived later than I intended to). This was the view from the bluffs in front of a very nice resort called The Montage in Lauguna Beach. The light on the sand and water was from the resort. As I was taking this photo I couldn't quite make out what was in the lighted area of the water, but after I ventured down to the beach I realized the surf was swirling around somewhat of a small 'island'. From the bluffs above, it almost looked like a whirlpool. I always appreciate your comments, Chris.
