Based on my belief in the concept of hell being a necessary fear to maintain peace, order, and civility within swociety. Not so apparent are the 7 deadly sins represented on the buckles. Lust being unseen since it is often a hidden desire. The green eye is all-knowing, allowing the creature to see into one's soul. The buildings are abusive authority/governments, and the cells have no doors or walkways.

About the Artist - Rodrick Strelau

Rodrick Strelau

At an early age, Rod was inspired and encouraged by his parents who were talented artists themselves.. His father served 25 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, so Rod grew up traveling and experiencing a vast array of people, cultures and scenery. Born in Staten Island, NY, he moved to Alaska, Louisiana, Texas, Hawaii, North Carolina, and back to New Orleans, Louisiana. At the age of 18, Rod landed his first job as an artist with an advertising company in New Orleans. He worked as a commercial artist until the early 80's, when he began to do custom paint and airbrush art on vans, cars, motorbikes and walls.
