Love it!!!
For many years did not visit the Korean War Veterans Memorial. Could not watch movies about war or detective stories and doctors programs where they showed bloody operations, etc. Any sight of blood in any type of program with gunshots or explosions triggered memories of what was still to real in my mind.

It was not until 1996, when on the anniversary of the end of the Korean War, that even considered it. For the Honor Guard for the Tomb of the Unknowns, Hosted a reunion for the 5th Regimental Combat Team at Fort Meade. When the Memorial for the 5th RCT was dedicated in Arlington Cemetery.
............................................................
My Brother found out about the dedication and offered to meet me there and stay for the week. We went to the Korean War Veterans Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Iwo Jima Memorial and many others.

Nadine and Bob – wow. This brought tears to my eyes. I thank you so much for sharing this part of your story with us. I know it had to be difficult. But know this, I can't begin to tell you, how when someone shares their story that it helps thousands of others who see it and have been through what you have been through. Know that you are indeed helping others. This is an AMAZING painting! I have not been to this memorial in a few years. It is a very emotional one, even for those of us who have not served! What a great tribute! The colors, the detail, and overall composition are superb! Thank you for your service. Freedom is certainly not free. You and thousands served on our behalf. For that, I am ever-so grateful!!
