I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.
Artist's Description
For this drawing (Original NFS), I wanted to capture the inside of a lighthouse looking out; thus, this is why you see the bricks on the inside wall around the window. I used pencil, ink, eraser, blender, and a knife as my drawing tools. This method allows a weathered or antique look to surface.
About Melonie King
Melonie King was born in Tampa, FL. She was a studio art scholarship recipient where she earned her two-year degree. In addition, Melonie holds a bachelor’s degree in English/Studio Art and a master’s degree in English. She is a member of the Alabama Writer's Conclave, Huntsville Literary Association, seeks an Art Membership in the National League of American Women Pen, and works at a local community college as an English instructor.
