Lovely card
The cypress trees are so interesting
in the glades of South Florida...
The roots crawl
along the ground
to form 'knees'.
Those knees are lumps
that stick up
and grab the water
and nutrients,
bringing them back to the tree

Cypress trees love water
and are always found
along rivers and even growing
in the creeks and marshy areas
around the tropics.
The roots of this special tree
in Grassy Waters Preserve
resembled an octopus' tentacles,
thus the title
of this fine art piece.
