Merging two photos of the sunrise to make on panoramic view.
A view of the sunrise looking at Telegraph Pass area of the South Mountains which is part of the Gila Mountain Range. One of the oldest sections of the Interstate Highway System in the US goes through a two-tiered highway section through Telegraph Pass at the north end of the range. The I-8 roadcuts in this area of Telegraph Pass expose some of the oldest metamorphic rocks in the state of Arizona, outside of rocks exposed at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
There is a great hiking trail that goes up the pass.
The trail begins as a wheelchair accessible paved path. With a skip trowel texture and a desert hue finish it's not that bad. This paved path takes you around the neighborhood.
