A northern shoveler duck on the pond at Adriana Hess Wetland Park in University Place, Washington.
Upon hearing that the pond may be polluted after an excessively heavy rain, I went to see for myself if there was any difference to it's appearance. I noticed right away a murkiness that wasn't there a month preiviously. It didn't seem to stop any of the water fowl from being there, however, lol.
The Tahoma Audubon group at the park have requested of the Univeristy Place Parks Dept. to have the water be tested.
Long time resident of the city of University Place, Washington, Chris Anderson has specialized in capturing the scenic beauty of her city and surrounding locales. She has embraced the painterly feel of HDR and uses it often in her craft, along with other post production layering and filtering techniques. Much of her work is of the award winning, links style golf course "Chambers Bay", home of the 2010 US Amateur and 2015 US Opens, where she also sells hand assembled photo note cards and collectible photo mugs (as well as calendars during the Holidays Season) at the course's Pro Shop since it opened in 2007. Since Chris is a non-golfer, she adds a different perspective to traditional golf photography.
