Artist's Description
This was an old ceramic statue that I found at a thrift store. I wondered who would ever want such an ugly thing in their house. Then when I needed a picture of an old cowboy when I was writing a story I thought about using this ceramic piece. It was so silly looking but It has been fun to use it as a conversation piece, too.
About Louise Narvick
Photography has been a pleasurable pastime for quite some years. When I first started taking pictures more seriously I only had one of those cheap instant cameras but wanted to take scenic pictures and help my children to enjoy this activity, too. As the skills began to improve we all got more interested in taking better pictures on some of our short outings. When I was first able to take a photography class at a University it was still at a time when learning to develop rolls of film involved using those messy trays of developing liquids and hanging the developed film up on a string to dry. From there a couple of my children and I were able to get several tolerable pictures with our homemade props and simple darkroom. It worked...
