About the Image

This old house 2 by Marilyn McNish

This old house is very special to us because we bought it on some property in Manigotagan, MB., Canada in 2005. We have since tore off the veranda and place the main house on a new foundation, and added some additions. This house was originally built in 1935 and was one of grandeur back in it's day. It was also a boarding house when the boats sailed into bay to unload or pick up cargo.

About the Artist - Marilyn McNish

Marilyn McNish

Following many years in corporate, semi retirement finally provided Marilyn freedom to focus her true passions to her art and new art career. Marilyn is a self taught artist who paints vibrant and colorful paintings from photograph with her most popular medium as acrylic. Her subjects and interests vary, allowing Marilyn to paint many interesting compositions, which she feels diversifies and challenges her skills. Two descriptive words for her paintings are “emotional and magical.” She hopes the viewer and purchaser of her artwork see’s a positive reflective moment, a connection, or better yet… something emotionally magical.
