In 1981, I was left widowed and expecting my first child after my husband was killed while in the line of duty as a police officer for the City of Sacramento, California. Due to this grief, I began writing poetry and later developed my love for the camera and digital photography. It has been my pleasure to have my work used by law enforcement agencies throughout the United States to honor fallen officers*. Fascinated with the thought of capturing moments in time that embrace the past while honoring the present, I have developed my skill as a digital photography artist.
