What looks to be a Yellow Ladybug emerging from the bloom of this Mullein Plant found in the Ozarks is actually a Spotted Cucumber Beetle and, unlike the friendly Ladybug, a major agricultural pest insect of North America.
The Mullein Plant can grow to 2 m or more tall. It is actually native to Europe, northern Africa, and Asia and introduced into this region in the world.
I love nature and I love photography. I'm very BLESSED to have been placed in the beautiful region well-known as the Ozarks. I hope you enjoy what God has given to me as a 'backyard' -- and I pray you'll be able to see that beauty through my pictures.
