The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Artist's Description
Hand coloured photograph based on the 1879 Photograph by Elliot and Fry. According to Gene Kritsky, who maintains an archive of Darwin photographs, this was from a session at his home, Down House, in 1879. After Darwin's death in 1882 this version was sold mounted by Elliot and Fry in memoriam, the photo noted as circa 1880. Darwin was famously not keen on having his photograph taken by strangers.
