This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

About Charles Wells
Coming soon...My name is Robert Charles Wells... I began drawing "Hoot Owls" while living in the Territory of Alaska at the age of 6 years old.We homesteaded 160 acres on the Kenai Peninsula near Sterling Alaska while my dad was stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base near Anchorage Alaska.While hunting on our property my dad shot at what he thought was a grouse flying betwen the trees. The "grouse" was a Great Horned Owl with a slightly damaged wing. He became the inspiration for my "Hoot Owl" series..Ha!. A lot of years have passed since I was 6 years old...more soon to come....earlier that same year ( April1958) a 13 year old boy "Robert Courtney" murdered his mother, brother, and 7 year old sister (Bonnie) who had attended the same...
