This bronze set features over 150 kinds of wild flowers, insects, grasses, birds and other small creatures lovingly sculpted in detail from my years of observation in the wilds. Wyoming Wildflowers Set: These sculpture pieces started with the pitcher covered with relief flowers, butterflies and insects, which I made for my sister�s birthday. The bronzes proved so beloved by the public that I have added more pieces, each depicting in detail the wild plants and tiny creatures I observe and sketch around my cabin every summer. The set includes two pitchers (each with different designs), a vase with lid, a box with lid, and a tray. Pictured here is the Multi-colored Patina. I have been an artist since I was knee high to a short-horned locust. My dad, Willoughby Senior (FAA) was a professional artist and writer and I have stepped in his shoes since I was born, though he drew horses better than I did when I was a kid. My family lived in a hand-hewn log cabin we built ourselves in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and had no water or electricity. I love my life with my husband and family in Wyoming among the horses, gophers, deer, antelope, coyotes, red-tailed hawks, and the wild landscape. My work is driven by the land, animals, wild plants and birds I have come to know so well. Hummingbirds still try to get nectar from my upturned fingers.
