The Green Tara's role is to help those in need. Her ability to assume a wide variety of forms depending on the deeds and circumstances of those to be helped is illustrated in the 21 Taras. Some of the figures are white or yellow and peaceful while others are dark red or blue and extremely wrathful.
My spiritual journey started with yoga. I became a yoga and meditation teacher and through the practice of meditation I came into contact with Tibetan Buddhism. Thangka paintings form an important part of Tibetan Buddhist practice and I was fascinated by the images of the spiritual beings they portrayed. For the past twelve years I have been taking lessons from Andy Weber and thangka painting and sculpting has become my passion. Andy is, perhaps, Europe's best-known teacher in the field, and after studying the art himself during his 3 year stay in Nepal, has taught all over the world for the past twenty five years.
