I love the artist and usually purchase her originals or prints and have been extremely satisfied with them, but this original and some others were sold so I purchased cards to frame. I have to comment that this card was a little dark and if it could be lightened a little, it would better represent the artwork. The artist is one of my favorites.

Ries crater. Computer illustration of the Nordlinger Ries crater, Germany, shortly after impact. This crater is located in western Bavaria, Germany. It is thought that a meteorite impact around 14 million years ago created the crater. The impact would have had the energy of 1.8 million Hiroshima bombs. The crater is now home to the town of Nordlingen.
