I'm originally from Vietnam, I had been a resident of Everett -WA since 1991. I learned to work with wood form my friend's father when I was young.He taught me to make the furniture with only hand tool. A few years later, I learned to carve the furniture form another friend, but I wasn't good at that, I quit after working a while. The idea to carve human sculpture came from my neighbor's daughter, She spoke French and collected many pictures and books about the sculptures of Italy, French and Greece . . . , she explained to me the many details of the work and she inspired me to create more classical designs.
